Urea supply depletes in Telangana

Farmers just had a sigh of relief after receiving a good rainfall but again they are in trouble as the stocks of urea has started depleting

Tummala Nageswara Rao said that Telangana state was promised an aggregated supply of 5 lakh tonnes of urea for past three months of April, May, June but they received only 3 lakh tonnes which results in creating a deficit of 2 lakh tonnes.

State agriculture minister seek the help of ministry of fertilizers to release the remaining stocks of urea. State has also asked to increase the allocation to indigenous unit like Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.  because of ease in transportation and work operations.

State has also urged the local farmers to use the fertilizers in optimum quantity and not in excess amount which could give rise to another problem of abnormality in paddy crop.
