Farmers against forceful tagging of nano Urea and nano DAP with conventional fertilizers Urea and DAP.

It was seen recently that Agri Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan asked all the state governments to stop tagging Nano urea and Nano DAP with conventional subsidized fertilizers Urea and DAP as it creates burden for farmers. Chouhan also asked Chief ministers to take strict action against those selling sub-standard fertilizers and fertilizer companies has also been directed to stop such kind of forceful sale.

It was also assured by the Chouhan that helpline number will be provided to the farmers where they can directly complain about such issues but no suitable action was taken against retailers and fertilizer companies till now.

Now farmer groups has also taken a step against it by writing a letter to PM Modi about forceful tagging of these nano products where they told P.M. that farmers has lots of bottles of these nano products in their homes which they have to purchase unnecessarily.

Farmers has to take these products deliberately otherwise they don’t get access to conventional subsidized agricultural products- Urea & DAP.

Government are also promoting these nano products by using their extension facilities so that they can do direct marketing to farmers and so far companies have set seven manufacturing plants of nano urea with the production capacity of 27 crore bottles each with 500 ml capacity. Govt. is claiming that they don’t have any direct connection for setting of these plants to Parliament on 29 July.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samridhi Kendras are also been used by companies for promoting nano Urea and nano DAP.
