What is “iTrapper”?
iTrapper is a light trap which emits specific wavelength of light to attract only the harmful insects for a selected crop. It is operational when the harmful insects are active ,when beneficial insects are active the device doesn’t operates. One more benefit of the device is it is operational for an extended as hours as compare to traditional ones.
Features of “iTrapper”
It consists of an advanced LED bulb for emitting specific range of wavelength of light. Both the UV and visible rays of light are utilized by it which helps in distinguishing harmful and beneficial insects. It has ability to switch its wavelength depending upon the crop type.
Financials and Future aspects
Till now Delta things has pegged a turnover of rupees 50 lakhs and sold 50,000 “iTrapper” till now. For exporting it into other countries Delta has equipped the trapper with some exciting features like bluetooth connectivity, mobile app, cloud integration, all these features will help in doing advanced analytics and will provide the users precise information which can be useful in making future decisions
